I have :
Windows XP Pro including SP1
Maxtor Harddrive of 250GB

Problem:
XP does not recognise Big Harddrive.

I have tried the Maxtor Big drive enabler. and in the
registry it enabled.
(System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Atapi\Parameters","Enabl
eBigLba",0x10001,1)

When i try to run Maxtor Big drive enabler says "48bit Lba
is enabled, no need to run this Programme".

Does this have anything with this "48bitlba". I dont
understand it.
Help
im

Any

http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;303013

The motherboard BIOS needs to support 48-bit LBA as well. Check the version
of atapi.sys, as detailed in this article.
