Anybody want to guess what the ...

:- One Microsoft Security Bulletin affecting Windows Live OneCare, Microsoft
Antigen, Microsoft Windows Defender, Microsoft Forefront Security for
Exchange Server and Microsoft Forefront Security for SharePoint. The highest
Maximum Severity rating for these is Critical. These products provide
built-in mechanisms for automatic detection and deployment of updates. Some
of these updates may require a restart. "

is about?

The line,

"These products provide
built-in mechanisms for automatic detection and deployment of updates"

makes me guess it might affect the updating thru WU/MU process.

Hey Engel, this might put you out of a job ;-)

Anybody at the MS WD tech group want to give us a heads up?

?:-)

update and not thru WU - MU ?

What would like in Defender?

Sorry Ron,
Didn't quite get your meaning.

Are you saying that maybe Joe and the team are answering a request that some
of us made in the series of posts "What would like in Defender?" or are you
asking me what I would like to see in Defender and that I should post it?

?:-)

I have 25 computers to put these on and i want to make sure there are no

I have similar numbers--maybe a few more, and I'll patch them all asap.
Actually, as things go, I'm allowing AU to do the job with greater
frequency, but I'm not testing--just patching. I haven't been badly bitten
by a patch since NT days--so my feeling is that the odds are better going
with the patches, than waiting to see how long it takes the malware folks to
reverse engineer.
