100% CPU Usage on async http operations

I'm doing some transfers operations asnychronously using callbacks, my
implementation is based on this example:

The problem I encounter is while transfering big files, the CPU usage
raises to 100% after 1-2 seconds, in fact, the same happens with that
example. (while reading big files).

This implementation is simply unreliable for me... Any ideas whats wrong?
