HP pavillion system running Win 2000 Professional.
System got the Blaster virus. After removing virus and
updating Win 2000, system now runs VERY slow... very VERY
slow. Checking Sys performance, it shows CPU usage at
100%.

At system startup, a DOS window pops up for about 4
seconds....then disappears, and then loads the rest of
windows and shows the desktop, but the system now is down
to a crawl. It takes 5-8 minutes to refresh screen or to
even bring up a window from the system, and FORGET
running any programs.

Have flushed memory, have dumped all internet temporary
files.... and system is now NOT connected to the internet
or to a modem even... so no outside files getting in or
usage going out.

Also, not able to run AVG or to install the new AVG 7.0
program because it time sout on the install... the
machine is just NONresponsive now.

Thanks

Lloyd
