100% CPU Usage after installing service pack 1

After installing service pack 1 I noticed my system
running extremely slugish. I opened the task manager and
noticed that the cpu usage was pegged at 100%, and under
the PROCESSES tab the one using 99% at all times
was "System". (Not system idle, but SYSTEM). And it
will not go down.

Any ideas?

I have a MSI NFORCE K7N420, AMD XP 1500, 256 meg RAM, WD
80 GIG HD. Never had a problem until service pack 1
install.
