I set up four user accounts on our new pc. Recently, one of the accounts has
become very slow to use. Task Manager and the performance trends show 100%
CPU (even when no known programs are running). When you log off this account
and log into one of the other accounts, the system returns to normal. The
other three accounts are working normally. Can you advise how to resolve this.

If your CPU is running at 98 - 100%

You may of been infected with the IOSDT.exe Trojan to check if you have
press ctrl,alt delete select processes and look for a process called
IOSDT.exe .

To remove IOSDT from your system go to following site for instructions.

Thanks for the tip. I checked the process in Task Manager but could not find
it. I did find a process called WksCal.exe which was static at 99%. I deleted
this process and the CPU fell to 0%. I looked up windows explorer and found
this file in Program Files/Common files/Microsoft Shared/Works Shared. I
logged out of the account and then logged in and the process reappears with
99%.

I've tried a few different things and have found that if I give this account
Administrator access, the process disappears from Task Manager and CPU is OK.
Is this possibly the answer for running Microsoft Works in Windows XP ?
