1) Unknown error 2) how to convert PAL video into NTSC DVD

Hi,

I have an "Unknown error" returned when I go through
video capturing wizard. It happens after I specify
destination folder and press "Next" button. It should not
be hardware problem, since video capturing works with the
other program "Sonic MyDVD" which I have installed in my
computer. You may ask why should I use Movie Maker
then . It looks like Movie Maker can handle the
problem of different video standards and that's what I
need. I have my old video in Video-8 PAL signal and I
want to ultimately produce DVDs which will run on NTSC
DVD player. How to handle this best? Will I loose quality?
Going back to the error, it looks like other people have
it too, see, for example, Gis.
