I'm sharing a broadband internet connection that begins with a 4 port
combination DSL modem/router. I need to connect 3 switches to this to for
easy distribution to the15 connected devices.
Ideally, I know I should connect each switch directly to one of the ports on
the router. However, this is very difficult to do logistically for 1 of the
switches.. So, if I only had 2 switches connected
directly to the router & the 3rd switch connected to one of the other
switches, would this create any problems?
All the switches are 10/100 Mbs fast ethernet & the modem/router is a new
one manufactured by 2Wire.
