- Moving Office 2003 Prof Ed & Outlook to new XP Pro Laptop...
- And I have found and copied the PST file to a Flash Drive to move
- But not installed yet on new laptop

1 - Can I put the PST and _all_ other Outlook Files into
\MyDocuments\Outlook\ so I can only backup MyDocuments?

2 - Below is a partial list of Outlook Files... where can I find a complete
list...
.... and where are they on my compter
.... and can I just put them all into a single folder like
\MyDocuments\Outlook\

3 - I found how to tell OL to use .PST in the MyDoc's folder
.... but how do I tell OL that _all_ outlook files should be kept in that
single folder

Partial Outlook File List below - looking for _complete_ list:
..pst (contacts & emails)
..rwz (rules)
..rtf (signatures)
..nick (nicknames)
..oft (templates)

3 -

You can put your PST in any folder you wish. Some of Outlook's files MUST
be in %AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook or %UserProfile%\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.

See this: http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.asp

Not possible.

Anywhere you want.

> .rwz (rules)

Outlook 2003 doesn't store rules in this file. I believe they're in the PST
in a hidden folder.

> .rtf (signatures)

Must be in %AppData%\Microsoft\Signatures or whatever subfolder of
%AppData%\Microsoft that that the Signatures key specifies, but it controls
only the subfolder.

> .nick (nicknames)

Outlook 2003 doesn't use any files with this file type. It used and NK2
file type and it must be in
%AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook

> .oft (templates)

I think you can save an OFT anywhere you want it, but my preference is
%AppData%\Microsoft\Templates where Outlook expects them.
