i recently installed a video card to my computer. but then uninstalled it.
now my computer is running slow. like it takes a second to minimize and
maximize windows. takes a second to scroll down something. also it takes
quit a bit of time for the computer to get going when i turn it on. how
can i fix this.

There are several things that you can try, but try the system restore first
and see if it does the trick:

Click Start-> All Programs-> Accessories->system tools-> system restore
