And just WHO is the e-mail provider with which you are having
troubles? Is the e-mail account provided by your ISP or is it some
off-domain provider, like Gmail?
Use the webmail interface to your account and empty out the Inbox
(delete or move out all e-mails in the Inbox). Using webmail, send
yourself a test e-mail and check that it shows up in your Inbox.
Logout of the webmail interface. Then check if your local e-mail
client sees the new e-mail.
