The difference is in the MCI settings and the codecs installed. See

story.

I've authored a slide show in PP2000 that has several Mpeg2 slides.
It plays fine on the authoring machine and a 2nd workstation. I used the
Pack n' Go feature to send it
to a client's laptop. The laptop would not play the mpeg2s but would show
the still slides.
I installed this slide show (w/ mpeg2s) on my own laptop, which is virtually
the same recent model Intel 2.4 ghz processor etc and it played fine!
What determines the playability of Mpeg2s?
Both laptops have Win Media Player 9. I can't see a difference.
Thanks,
Gary
