Hi all
I've just installed the latest beta version and have been getting this error
message evrytime i try to update the defintions. i am connected to the
internet the whole time so i dont understand what this error message is
about. any help is much appreciated thanks.

I am also having this problem. I followed the link and it doesn't fix the
issue. I have turned off my Windows firewall entirely but am on a home
network behind a NAT router so there's no way a DCOM callback is going to
work.

By the way, I have another machine on my home network with Windows Defender
running and it can retrieve updates just fine.

Any other ideas?

Is this machine up to date with all critical updates offered via Windows
Update? Do an express scan, and install everything offered.
