I had this error when sending email from Outlook 2003 sp3 windows XP sp2,
mail sits in outbox.

It affects any new email accounts I create, however curiously the original
default account works fine. Also ALL accounts work fine with the test account
button.

Fault traced to a Com add in called "itunes" tools/options/other/advanced.
untick it restart Outllok and away you go! Retick it and problem gone! I
think this software is installed with apples Iphone???

Hope this helps you...
