Do you have antivirus integrated with Outlook? Is it actively scanning
incoming/outgoing emails? Disable the integration (this may require that you
uninstall, reboot, and reinstall, leaving out the email integration). It's
not required for security anyway since your real time scanner will detect
anything it's been updated for.
