Hi,

Just installed Windows Defender. WD informs me that I need to scan my
computer because it hasn't been scanned for 3 days. When I click on scan, I
get the above error message " error 0x8000403 invalid pointer" How can I fix
this?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. As it is, the error
notification prevents me from scanning my computer. Thanks,

Hi,

I had the same situation. Just go to Scan menu, select Custom scan, select
some folders and do scanning on them. The error should disappear (also the
WD icon from the tray). For the next three days, I suppose ;-)

Hi Engel,

I'm still alive ;-)
But "still alive" means also to eat, to eat means also to pay, to pay means
to earn, and to earn means the work time ;-D
Actually because of less time I am able to spend with computer (you know -
work and familly :-) ) I had to concentrate on the main Polish forum I
support (and besides of that - no one is allowed to use newsgroups where I
work ;-( ).
So the time limitation allowed me just to take a look sometimes at MSAS/WD
newsgroups.. :-(
However - I'll try to do it much more often since now and maybe sometimes
I'll write something ;-)
