I'm running a Presario 2500 series notebook since April and have had
no problems till about 3 weeks ago when the foll. error message
started to pop up on my screen after every 10 mins. or so of browsing.
My comp. is virus free, all windows xp , office 2000 and security
patches are upto date and the KB that I could locate on this refers to
this problem coming up in Windows 2000.
I was told it could be a case of a memory chip literally going "bad"
:-(

Is this possible ? Can someone recommend any solutions for me to try ?
Thanks, Swati !

Error Message:

"The instruction at '0x01e940dd'reference memory at 0x01e940dd. The
memorycould not be 'read' . Click on to terminate the program "
