can anyone help when i was using my laptop I put it on the floor to
get something when i picked it up it just shutdown and when i tried to
restart it it wouldnt boot up it came up for me to start up using
recovery or normal modes when i tried recovery it wouldnt start and
closed it down again when i tried normal it came up with blue screen
saying UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME and technical information saying

***STOP: 0X000000ED (0X849B4468,0XC000009C,0X00000000,0X00000000
can someone tell me what this is or how i can resolve the problem

You can try the fix for Unmountable Boot Volume below. If that doesn't work,
your hard drive may have died.

Boot with XP cd into Recovery Console.
Do chkdsk /p

If there are errors, do chkdsk /r

After Chkdsk is finished in either case, go back into Recovery Console and
do fixboot, and then reboot (hopefully) into Windows.
