I have tried to upgrade W2K pro to XP and I get 0x0000007B stop error. Any
ideas as to why?

Thanks SC Tom, I think Boot Sector Virus could be the problem.

What makes you think that?

A boot sector virus that disables booting kind of defeats the purpose of the
virus, doesn't it?

delete win.com in W2K.
