I need to change channels on my ad hoc wireless network
but cannot because I'm using Linksys adapters that use a
different utility than XP's. I was told by Linksys that
I needed to disable XP's "0 config utility" so that I
could use their utility. This would allow me to change
channels. When using their wireless adapters, I cannot
change the channel by going to Wireless Network
Connections, selecting Configure, then selecting the
Advanced tab. Is there such a thing as "0 config
utility" and if so how do I get to it to disable or
enable it?

In Services, you can disable the Wireless Zero Configuration Service.

There are certain items that Linksys and XP does not perform properly on (
using WEP Passphrases for example ). with Linksys, I have found it best to
disable the Wireless Zero Config and use their utility.
